Contract for 539 solar systems signed with UNDP

JGH Group has just signed a new contract with UNDP. The project involves designing, supplying and installing 539 Solar PV Systems in medical clinics all over Zimbabwe.

As one the leading suppliers of Solar PV systems, JGH Group has just signed a contract with United Nations Development Programme, UNDP.

The delivery involves designing, supplying and installing 539 Solar PV Systems in medical clinics all over Zimbabwe.

The project is a part of the Solar for Health (S4H) long term agreement with UNDP.

Design and installation will be divided into four lots with four different sizes of solar systems:

  • Lot 1: 353 systems of 5.025 kWp with 15 kWh lithium battery storage
  • Lot 2: 68 systems of 7 kWp with 21 kWh lithium battery storage
  • Lot 3: 61 systems of 10.05 kWp with 30 kWh lithium battery storage
  • Lot 4: 57 systems of 40.2 kWp with 120 kWh lithium battery storage

The 539 Solar PV Systems will in total deliver 5.154 MWp with battery storage up to 15.393 MWh.

JGH Solar has already started production of the components for the solar PV systems. The equipment will be delivered to Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe, within 18 weeks from contract signature.

The project is planned to finish by start 2021.

JGH Solar has previously designed and installed several solar PV solutions in Africa, among them a Solar PV Hybrid system for a medical warehouse in Masvingo, Zimbabwe, and a 300 kWp with 1000 kWh Solar back-up PV Power plant for the Medical Provincial Warehouse in Luanda, Angola.
