JGH Group is experiencing impressive progressive growth in the field of solar projects. Hence, we are looking to hire an experienced electrical engineer with the drive to lead dynamic projects in the most remote parts of the world. In the position, you will be responsible for reviewing, drafting/designing, and plant equipment configuration, and you will be responsible for each solar project’s technical requirements and documentation.
You are expected to work efficiently with the implantation phase of the solar projects, which means taking full responsibility for designing, technical documenting, and executing the design in collaboration with the Head of Operation.
Your main areas of responsibilities can be summarized as follows:
- System design of Solar PV systems (off-grid, hybrid, on-grid)
- Technical implementation of Solar PV contracts
- Technical management of clients and beneficiaries, suppliers and manufacturers, and installers and partners
- Compliance with standards and the contract
- Quality assurance (inspection, FAT)
In addition to the tasks listed above, you travel to the site for commissioning, troubleshooting, and training and coordinate maintenance activities and warranty obligations. Additionally, you prepare technical documentation, including SLDs, layouts, as-built drawings, technical descriptions, manuals, and checklists. Finally, you manage a team consisting of 2-3 engineers.
Experienced engineer who shows a high level of motivation and a systematic approach to the tasks
You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or Energy Engineering and represent at least 5 years of experience designing, planning, and implementing Solar projects with medium/high voltage capacity. Additionally, you possess a solid technical understanding of hybrid off-grid systems. You master AutoCAD or similar CAD software, as well as Microsoft Office and Excel, on an advanced level. It is a plus if you have experience in solar energy software like PVSyst (simulations), Helioscope, or PVSol.
Leadership experience is considered an advantage but not a requirement as long as you are curious and willing to learn and develop your leadership skills.
